EORT was born in order to bring new works into the Greater Chicago theatre community. Our mission is to seek out new voices of all age ranges, ethnicities, gender identities and racial and cultural heritages. In the crowded and noisy landscape of small and medium theatrical performance, we wish to identify ourselves as being champions for those who are not being heard. Stories that challenge perceptions, dive into relationships, confront misconceptions and push the very definition of story to a more inclusive and ever malleable parameter.
